Our Shop – Engineering
We offer full service pressure vessel welding out of our Edmonton shop. We provide accurate, timely drafting services utilizing only draftsmen with considerable pressure vessel experience. Penfabco Ltd. owns and maintains an extensive array of CRN registered drawings covering the most common vessel sizes, pressures and configurations.
Recently, Penfabco has created a full set of generic but customizable drawings, covering size ranges from 16″ to 72″ in diameter in both 720psi and 1440psi pressure ranges. These are CRN registered for all common vertical and horizontal applications, sour and sweet applications with all typical couplings, threadolet and flange configurations.
Penfabco utilizes third party engineering services on an as needed basis. We use engineers who have 20+ years experience in the pressure vessel industry.
The advantage of the drawing is two-fold:
1. They are CRN registered which sidesteps the cost and a 6-8 week waiting period to get a new drawing certified
2. The customer is able to take a “generic” layout/configuration and seamlessly adapt it to their individual requirements.
We have customized equipment to meet our client’s needs. Our pre-approved and registered drawings save you 6 to 8 weeks in construction time. Drawings are customizable to meet your requirements for connections.

Safety Information
At Penfabco, we have an active in-house safety person and all workers are dedicated to safety. All managers have completed the “Leadership for Safety Excellence” course and we hold a valid COR certificate. Our shops’ WCB rates are lower than the industry average and we are proud of our excellent safety record.
